Parent observation is welcome. Parents can observe through classroom monitors, observation windows and periodically in the classroom, upon instructor invitation.
Attendance is required as absences affect the entire class. Students that attend every class in which they are enrolled, receive a Perfect Attendance Award at the recital. Also at recital, special awards are presented to students with consecutive 5, 10, 15 or 20 years participation at Dance Theatre.
Costume prices are $60 each. To help parents budget, a down payment will be due on October 31st with the remaining balance due December 14th. Costume fees are non-refundable. Parents are encouraged to participate in the sizing process as the size ordered will be final.
A recital fee of $25 will be due May 1st, and includes 4 complementary tickets (2 additional for siblings that also dance). The tentative date for this season’s recital is May 20th.
Please only park in designated spaces, avoiding the grass. The lane in front of the building is for loading and unloading only. Proceed slowly, little ones are not always as aware. Arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to the start of class to avoid overcrowding in the lobby.
Any class may be asked/surveyed about participating in a regional competition. Information will be provided prior to Christmas break. Class dances are a priority over individual solos, duos or trios. Dancers will not be allowed to “opt out” of a class dance and still compete in one of the above individualized routines.
Inclement weather and/or other cancellation notices will be sent via text and email, as well as posted on our website and Facebook pages. Dance Theatre follows the Craven County School District inclement weather school closures. If schools are closed due to bad weather, Dance Theatre will be closed as well.
